Overview

Kathgodam is located in the Bhabhar region, at the foot of the Kumaon Himalayas. It's the last railway station in the North Eastern Railway zone. It is a small city in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. It is one of the important collection centres for forest products obtained from Kumaon Himalayas. Some of the popular tourist attractions that you can explore in Kathgodam include Sheetla Devi Temple, Kalichaud Temple and Hanuman Garhi.

Itinerary

Arrive at kathgodam railway station, and pick up from the station by our private car who will accompany you throughout the tour. On the way you will visit the Kachidham Temple is a Hanuman tample and Ashram which is established by a great saint Neem Karori Baba in 1960;s near Nainital. It is surrounded by mountains and forests with a river flowing alongside, it is is a heaven for people who seek peace and calm. It is also an ashram of Neem Karoli Baba who is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Hanuman. In the evening you will move to almora. On arrival at almora, check in to the hotel and have dinner. Overnight at Almora.

After breakfast we will proceed to visit the popular temples of almora including Kasar Devi Temple, Chitai Golu Devta Temple, Jageshwar Temple, Nanda Devi Temple, Katarmal Sun Temple. The Katarmal Sun Temple is well-known for its intricate sculptures. The Katarmal Sun Temple is a monument of historical importance and also is an example of intricate sculpturing. The Temple of the Sun was a sacred precinct built by the Incas to pay tribute and give offerings to the sun inside Machupicchu. This star was one of the most important deities of the Inca civilization.

Kasar Devi has been a magnet for people who want peace and calm in their life.  It holds historical and cultural significance, and its origins are believed to date back centuries. The temple is dedicated to Kasar Devi, an incarnation of the Hindu goddess Durga.

The famous Temple of Chitai Almora is the Golu Devta Chitai temple, dedicated to Gollu or Goljyu Devta an incarnation of Lord Shiva in the form of Gaur Bhairav. It is reckoned to be the God of Justice and it is a common belief that when someone worships him in one of his temples in Uttarakhand, Golu Devta provides justice and makes wishes of his devotees come true.

Jageshwar Dham is a group of temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.  Lord Shiva came to meditate here, and when the women of the village came to know of this, they immediately left their household chores to have his darshan. When the men of the village heard of this, they were infuriated and came to see who is this sadhu who has captivated their woman. Seeing the commotion, Shiva took the form of a child, which is why he is still worshipped in his child form here. Nanda Devi, an incarnation of the Hindu Goddess Durga. This holy shrine is located in the heart of Almora city. Many Hindu pilgrims religiously visit this temple as Nanda Devi is considered to be the "Destroyer of Evil" and the saviour of the denizens of Kumaon.

Nainital is a Shakti Peeth because it is believed that the left eye of Goddess Sati fell here, which gave Naini Lake the shape of an eye, It is the charming himalayan lake town. This place is known for its scenic beauty lakes, and views of the Greater Himalayas. It offers many activities including boating, feeding animals at the zoo, picnicking. It is famous for the Naini Lake where it is believed that Lord Shiva performed his tandava. Nainital main attractions includes Nani Lake, Mall Road , Naini Devi Temple. Naini Lake is the major attraction of tourism and surrounded by panoramic seven hills, enjoy boating in Naini lake. A very wonderful experience for the day. Then, we walk to the mall road and take some delicious famous food of that place. In the evening, we spend our leisure time for shopping in the local marketof Nainital.

We will proceed our tour from Nainital to Corbett by bus. Jim Corbett National Park is a national park in India located in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand state. Rich in flora and fauna, it’s known for its Bengal tigers. Animals including tigers, leopards and wild elephants, roam the Dhikala zone. Located at the Himalayas' foothills', near the popular hill-station of Nainital, the beautiful Jim Corbett National Park, is famous for being home to a large number of tigers the highest among any Indian national park. In the afternoon have a lunch in that place. On the second half you booked a Safari Ride and see the sightseeing of the park. Then we visit Garjiya Devi Temple is one of the old temples in India which is found in the border of beautiful village called girjiya close to ramnagar. This temple have an eye catching attractive vision of situated over a giant rock in koshi river. Thousands of devotees attracts yearly because of the divinity of the place. In the kartik Poornima is the fair of lights. It is totally decorated with diyas lit by devotees and worshipers throughout the time of fair gives a superb panoramic vision. After doing the darshan of Devi then return back to the hotel.

After breakfast, check out the hotel and we will drive from jim corbett to kathgodam, transfer to the railway station for onward destination.

  • If booking is between 30 days to 15 days in advance from the travel date: Advance of 30% of the package cost is required
  • If travel is within 15 days of the travel date: We will require 100% payment.

Cancellation Policy

  • If booking is 15 days before the travel date: 100% refund for Domestic Packages.
  • if booking is 30 days before the travel date: 100% refund for International Packages.
  • Between 30 days to 15 date before the travel date 10% of the total cost will be deducted on International Packages.
  • Between 15 days to 1 Day before the travel date: 100% cancellation on Domestic & International Packages.
