Overview
Madurai located on the bank of Vaigai River. It has been a major settlement for two millennia and has a documented history of more than 2500 years. Rameshwaram is believed to be the place from where Lord Rama started his journey to get his wife Sita back from Ravana and the Lord was helped by 'Vaanar-Sena' army of legendary monkey-humans and served by Hanuman, Lord Ram's paramount devotee. Also, many later versions of Ramayana testify of installing a ShivaLingam by Shri Ram and Devi Sita to worship Lord Shiva as a part of penance for Brahmahatya - killing of Brahmana, Ravana who was himself a well-known staunch follower of Lord Shiva. The Rameshwaram Temple, built in 12th century is believed to have the same Shiva Lingam. Itinerary
On arrival at Madurai Airport, we will be greeted by our tour representative who then drives you to Rameshwaram. Check in at a hotel nearby Rameshwaram Temple. In the evening rest, enjoy your leisure time. Overnight at Rameshwaram.
After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing of Rameshwaram. It is a small picturesque island situated in Gulf of Mannar off Tamil Nadu coast. The island is well known for the Ramanathaswamy temple is a Jyotirlinga shrine of Lord Shiva. Common belief is that if one offers puja at this shrine one gets respite from his or her mortal sins. Legends hold that at this spot Lord Rama had worshipped Lord Shiva after returning victorious from Lanka and take lunch at outside. After offering Puja at the temple you could take a holy bath in the sea of Rameshwaram. The other scenic beaches out there such as Dhanushkodi beach, Olaikuda beach and Pamban beach. After breakfast, moving to Rameshwaram to Madurai. Visit popular Meenakshi Temple of Madurai. The temple dates back to as far as the 7th century and has Goddess Parvati or Meenakshi as its presiding deity. The Meenakshi temple of Madurai is counted as one among the ‘seven wonders’ of our country. Return to hotel take our dinner and overnight at Madurai.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel in Madurai. Transfer to Madurai Airport or Railway Station for your onward destination.

- If booking is 30 days in advance from the travel date: Advance of 15% of the package cost required
- If booking is between 30 days to 15 days in advance from the travel date: Advance of 30% of the package cost is required
- If travel is within 15 days of the travel date: We will require 100% payment.
Cancellation Policy
- If booking is 15 days before the travel date: 100% refund for Domestic Packages.
- if booking is 30 days before the travel date: 100% refund for International Packages.
- Between 30 days to 15 date before the travel date 10% of the total cost will be deducted on International Packages.
- Between 15 days to 1 Day before the travel date: 100% cancellation on Domestic & International Packages.
