


Overview
Valley of flowers trek is one of India’s most beautiful trek in Uttarakhand. It is situated in Chamoli district. The Valley of Flowers National Park covers 87 square kilometers, inhabited by numerous species of rare and endangered flora and fauna such as Blue Poppies, Brahmakamal, Cobra Lily, Primula, Asiatic Black Bear, Snow Leopard, Blue Sheep, musk bear, and brown bear to red fox, Himalayan birds, etc.
Itinerary
Drive to Joshimath (288 Km) (10/11 Hours) (1,875 m/ 6152 feet). Overnight Stay at Homestay (Mode of transport by Tempo Travellers & Ertiga Taxi).
After breakfast, drive to Govindghat and then to Pulna (5KM 30 min drive) same day trek to Ghangaria( 9 KM/ 5-6 hours). Start your trek from Pulna, passing through lush green landscapes and serene surroundings. Reach Ghangaria by late afternoon. Stay at a guesthouse in Ghangaria and have dinner.
Post breakfast leave with packed lunch Ghangaria and come across the entry gate of the valley of flowers national park. The trek from Ghangaria to the Valley of Flowers is the highlight of the Valley of Flowers trek in Uttarakhand, India. Back to Ghangaria Guest House, Overnight Stay.
The trek from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib covers a distance of approximately 06 kilometers one way. It is a steep ascent that gains altitude rapidly. The trail begins from Ghangaria and winds its way up the mountainside, passing through a series of switchbacks and stone-paved paths. Back to Ghangaria Guest House, Overnight Stay.
The trek from Ghangaria to Govind Ghat, followed by a drive to Joshimath, is a common route for trekkers completing the Valley of Flowers or Hemkund Sahib treks in Uttarakhand, India. The trek from Ghangaria to Govind Ghat covers a distance of approximately 9 kilometers. It’s a descent from Ghangaria to Govind Ghat, so the terrain is generally easier than the ascent. The trail follows a well-marked path, and you’ll pass through the scenic landscapes of the valley, including forests, streams, and meadows. Once you reach Govind Ghat, you’ll proceed with a drive to Joshimath, covering a distance of approximately 18 kilometers. The road from Govind Ghat to Joshimath is well-maintained but winding, as it follows the course of the Alaknanda River. Overnight Stay at Homestay.
Your journey begins in Joshimath, a bustling town located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Joshimath is known for its religious significance and as a base for various trekking expeditions and pilgrimage sites in the region. You will travel through the Garhwal Himalayas, passing through picturesque mountain villages and dense forests. The road winds its way down the mountainsides, offering panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and verdant valleys. You will arrive in Rishikesh, a vibrant town situated on the banks of the Ganges River. Rishikesh is renowned as the “Yoga Capital of the World” and attracts visitors from around the globe for its spiritual ambiance, ashrams, and adventure activities such as rafting and trekking. Upon reaching Haridwar, you’ll have the opportunity to witness the bustling activity along the ghats and soak in the spiritual atmosphere of this ancient city.

Things to carry with you
Backpack of 50 -60 ltrs.
Sturdy hiking boots: (preferably all leather upper as it provides better ankle support). If you do not own a pair yet, it is advisable that you buy one as soon as possible & wear it often so that they are well broken. This will help prevent blisters.
Lightweight tennis shoes/sandals: for wearing in camp/Hotel.
Nylon socks: 3- Pairs, of the type you wear daily to be worm under the wool socks to prevent blisters.
Hiking shirt: 2 preferably long sleeve.
Warm shirts & pants for camp: 2 each.
Rain coat/ Poncho 1 each.
Warm Jacket: 1 each.
Under wear: 2-3 changes.
Sun hat: Cotton or nylon.
Sun Glasses: Preferably with an anchor.
Sun Protection Lotion.
Lip balm/chap stick.
Water bottle: 2 Bottles of 1 Liter capacity (Pepsi bottles work well) please insure that they do not leak.
Head lamp / flashlight: Preferably a headlamp as it leaves your hands free to work please bring extra batteries.
Toilet articles: Tooth brush, tooth paste, Toilet paper (Wet wipes are strictly not allowed on our treks).
Reusable Plastic Bags for Trash and used clothes.

Payment Policy
- You can book at just INR 2000 per person.
- The remaining amount has to be paid on arrival / Day of commencement of the trip. In failing to do so Beyond Journey holds the rights to Cancel the trek/tour.
- The payment can either be made in cash (need prior approval from the team) or through an electronic transfer NEFT/IMPS/BHIM etc. Credit card and debit card are also accepted.
- The percentage of amount to be refunded in case of cancellation is mentioned in cancellation policy.
Cancellation Policy
- In case the trek is cancelled by the Beyond Journey due to any unavoidable Circumstances like Bharat bandh, Road block, natural calamity, landslides etc we will provide a trek Coupon where you can opt for the same trek or a different for a period of one year.
- In case you want to change the trek the amount you paid will be deducted if the new trek cost is greater than the cancelled trek and if the new trek cost is less the remaining amount will be refunded.
- In Case of Booking of less than 3 members and the trek is cancelled due to no further trekker available, the customer will get full refund and will get a discount coupon of 10% having validity for a year.
- If the trek is cancelled by the customer prior to 30 days of booking date 100 % of the total trek fee will be refunded i.e. no cancellation Fees.
- If the trek is cancelled by the customer between 15-30 days of booking date a voucher of equivalent amount will be given to customers valid for 1 year.
