Itinerary

Begin your adventure from Dehradun, traveling via Mussoorie en route to Sankri. We will pause for a delicious lunch along the way. The journey offers scenic vistas starting with the Yamuna River and culminating at the breathtaking Tons River. The route features picturesque pine forests, enhancing the natural beauty of the trip. Upon arrival in Sankri, we will check into a charming campsite nestled in this serene village. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk through Sankri’s quaint streets to acclimate and rejuvenate before the upcoming trek. Sankri is a tranquil haven, offering a peaceful retreat amidst nature. Overnight stay at Sankri.

The day begins with a short, scenic, and slightly adventurous drive to Taluka, marking the start of our trek. From here, we will hike along the Supin River, meandering through lush mixed woodlands. The trail includes some steep sections, balanced by mostly gentle inclines, allowing for an immersive experience into the region’s rich and ancient culture—an unspoiled tapestry that remains vibrant today. We will spend the night in Puwani Garaat, a peaceful village surrounded by natural beauty.

Begin with a trek to Osla Village, crossing a bridge over the Supin River.

Osla, situated at approximately 8,500 feet above sea level, is a small, charming settlement. After a brief rest, continue the trek over relatively flat terrain—though initial sections may be slightly steep, the stunning vistas along the way compensate for the effort. Within thirty minutes, we will pass two alpine lakes, crossing a wooden bridge over the second. Beyond the lakes, the trail curves around a mountain and leads to expansive meadows, farmed areas, and rocky knolls. A picturesque 90-minute walk culminates in panoramic views of the Supin valley, visible from a rustic wooden bridge ahead.

Today’s early start allows us to witness the rising sun illuminating the majestic landscape. The trail ascends into glacier basins, revealing alpine meadows and moraines. Towering pine forests line the path, with both moderate and challenging climbs leading into Har Ki Dun valley. As elevation increases, you may encounter frozen waterfalls and patches of snow—permanent features in winter. The valley itself is a divine spectacle, framed by imposing peaks such as Swargarohini, Hata Mountain, and Black Peak, offering breathtaking panoramic vistas.

Today marks the return journey. Trek back from Har Ki Dun to Puwani Garaat via Osala Village, reliving the charm and warmth of the local community. Take time to bid farewell to the villagers and the serene surroundings. The trek retraces the same picturesque route, culminating back at the campsite. Enjoy the final hours amidst the mountain’s tranquil ambiance.

After breakfast, commence the descent back to Taluka, covering approximately 12.5 km over five hours. The trail includes well-known rest stops, providing opportunities to enjoy the scenery and breathe in the mountain air. Upon reaching the end of the trail, the vehicle will be ready to transfer you back to Sankri. During the drive, exercise caution to avoid undue strain during descent. Arrive in Sankri in time for tea and reflection on the journey’s memories.

Today concludes your expedition. After breakfast, farewells will be exchanged with our team and fellow travelers. Transportation arrangements will be provided to escort you back to Dehradun, bringing your memorable adventure to a close.
