Overview
Serbia is a landlocked country in South East Europe which covers part of the Pannonian Plain and Central and Western Balkan Peninsula. It has a rich history that dates back to ancient times. The most expensive cheese in the world, it comes from Serbia and is made from – get this – a blend of goat and donkey milk. It’s called Pule and costs a handsome 1,000 euro per kilogram. Dubrovnik is a very safe city, easy to navigate, known for the beautiful city walls that allowed the city to be named a UNESCO site. Mostar is the chief city and, historically, the capital of Herzegovina. It is situated in mountainous country along the Neretva River and lies on the Sarajevo-Ploce rail line.
